Poor frame rates in Lunar Client.
Poor frame rates in Lunar Client.
Minecraft 1.7.10 has been modified by users to include a client-side anti-cheat and is promoted as increasing FPS, although I am experiencing performance degradation. The Lunar Client, a modification for this version, utilizes GPU processing despite Minecraft’s traditionally CPU-based architecture. I maintain an average FPS of approximately 300 while idle and around 100 during gameplay, but recording footage significantly reduces my FPS to approximately 40, which is unacceptable. My hardware consists of an i7-4790 processor, RX 580 graphics card with 4GB of VRAM, and 8GB of 1600MHz RAM. Despite having specifications that are considered below optimal, a friend with an i5-6400 processor and RX 470 graphics card consistently achieves higher FPS, exceeding mine by over 500 frames at the same resolution. I suspect the underlying game engine may be inefficient in its resource utilization. I request assistance resolving this issue.
I lack sufficient hardware knowledge, relying primarily on Userbenchmark comparisons. We share an EVGA 500W power supply unit.
Lunar client is not recognized as a game, therefore it cannot utilize GPU acceleration.
