my friend during fortnite often sees 10 to 60 frames per second, which isn't consistent. other titles such as cs2 run smoothly, so we've looked at adjusting system temps in different settings like dx11, 12, performance mode and limiting fps to 60.

i7 4770k with GTX 980 and 980MHz RAM on 16GB DDR4 memory: unsure if I should upgrade to a 16GB 1600MHz 500GB SSD drive.

The temperatures are around 83°C on the GPU, with the CPU running at 100°C or less. The clock speeds seem typical.

This demo feels inferior compared to modern devices like the Steam Deck or ROG Ally, especially with outdated CPU power. A few games might run smoothly while others struggle. You seem to have configured everything for low settings and DX11?

You should try running the game at a reduced quality, aiming for playability. If possible, go for 720p.

It's unusual since it performs well on an i7 3770 with stable 60fps or higher, making the 10 fps performance seem unexpected.
