Hi there,
I’m using Windows 10 edition of Minecraft (the Microsoft version) and frequently experience severe FPS drops that last several minutes and happen multiple times per hour. At times the game drops to as low as 6 FPS.
My system runs Minecraft smoothly at high FPS with an i7-9700K, RTX 3070, 32GB RAM, and an SSD where MC is installed.
I’m puzzled about why this happens. There’s minimal mod support for Windows 10 edition, especially for mods like Optifine that should have been fixed in previous versions on the Java edition.
I’ve adjusted the render distance settings with little to no improvement. Lowering the graphics settings helped a bit but still didn’t reach the desired performance.
Additionally, when the render distance is set to 80, only about 10 assets load. I’m playing cross-platform with friends—some on PC, some on PS4, and some on Switch.
Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I discovered the issue was with the texture pack I was using, which is PureBDCraft. Now I have a fresh texture pack and am seeing 140+ FPS.

I discovered the issue was with the texture pack I was using, which was PureBDCraft. Now I have a different texture pack and it's working smoothly at 140+ FPS.
