Your CPU might also experience thermal throttling. Consider using tools like HWMonitor—it's free. Let it run while playing games, wait until your game ends, then check your temperatures. You could also share a photo; the value will show you the current readings. Min shows the lowest temperature, Max is the highest, and there are separate readings for GPU and SSD. Just note the values in your second picture.

It seems I’m unfamiliar with Doom Eternal, but Witcher 3 received a graphics engine update for RTX in December 2022. This change eliminated SLI support and introduced DX12, making it more popular among GPUs from the 30xx and 40xx series. Your two 2080Ti units may not be sufficient for the game at full settings anymore. I’d think your 1660 is likely outdated unless you lower your graphics preferences.

I also wanted to mention I run this PC as a remote gaming machine with Parsec, which made switching to HWmonitor a bit challenging. @Robchil, thanks for the feedback! I wasn’t aware of this, but it really improves over Doom Eternal in some ways.
Hey @SamClan, sorry about not expressing my gratitude earlier! I replayed The Witcher 3 and noticed some improvements—I changed to DirectX11 and it really helped! Doom Eternal is still a bit tough, though.
I see you're playing a 1660 super while running a very capable card at the settings you're using. The Witcher 3 can be quite challenging. (even before the update) I'm not sure how well Doom Eternal is optimized. It has many particle effects, which can really test even the best cards from the 30 series.
Consider installing Witcher 3 on an SSD and attempting to launch the game.
