Do you enjoy playing them? Would you consider purchasing them later? As a new indie developer, I’m building an RPG Maker project focused on storytelling rather than combat—no heavy art required. I’m primarily a coder who loves crafting narratives but find art challenging. My game is a visual novel centered around battling demons, essentially a remake of a past jam game. It offers more open movement choices and lets players act out actions to encourage creative problem-solving instead of being forced into rigid decisions. This survey aims to gauge market interest, potential success, and the right audience to target as I progress. GTA is not and has never been an RPG. There is no role playing, you play as whatever character the story needs. Even claiming it has RPG elements is highly dubious at best: There is no character progression just look items and very slight bump in character stats. But that being said RPG maker games can be great. One of my favorite games ever is an RPG maker game: To the moon.

The moon has a really great tale and one of the top soundtracks available. The experience leans heavily on storytelling with some puzzle moments here and there, but it's worth experiencing the narrative. For clarity, I generally prefer games that aren't history-focused since I seldom find videogame stories especially compelling or original, though results can differ.
