I'm exploring the setup of a Plex server to stream media. It mainly connects to our home devices—typically three at once—but I want the ability to access it remotely occasionally. I've been considering a Ryzen 4600G because it offers good value and low power usage. I'm curious if it can handle encoding video for remote streaming.

Use a 10th generation or later i3 processor. Intel CPUs with integrated GPUs often lack strong hardware transcoding capabilities. AMD systems typically offer better support for this feature.

Thanks for your feedback! It seems the graphics cores from the 4600G might be helpful, though I couldn't locate specific details. The Intel processor is a bit pricier but remains affordable within your budget, which is great!
