After switching to an old laptop for my Plex server, I’m getting messages saying I don’t have permission to access the server. On the laptop, it’s the same issue, and the account linked doesn’t work either. It’s been this way consistently—no interruptions before. Also, the “add new library” option isn’t showing up. I’m really confused; this is way more frustrating than usual. I’ve tried several fixes: authorize device, reboot repair, uninstall and reinstall.

Searching across the system for any entries containing "Plex" and attempting to remove them. Several results indicated a potential conflict during deletion.

Only the listed options appear in the settings interface. Installing Plex repeatedly fails. File: plex_error_file.pdf

You're experiencing the same problem on different systems. I've dealt with similar issues before, including on a PFSense router and a Netgear device. I tried setting it up on a gaming rig with Truenas and a Dell T320 using unRAID, but I ran into trouble editing files with winscp. Also, I'm not very comfortable using Vim in the command line.

I had to utilize the HTPC app to properly direct the IP, then employ the desktop app to incorporate a library. After adjusting the IP settings successfully, the system began functioning correctly again.

Really interesting suggestion. The HTPC tool only shows the server is down using its IP and the standard port, even though I added it myself. Still unclear what to do next.

Is it connected to the same network or trying to reach something distant? Also, the webapp seems to have random issues with no clear cause, and the server appears unreachable. Verify your server IP, port settings, and ensure Plex was reinstalled correctly—just replaced the old library to pt.2.

I also have a media2 share on my unRAID (^~^;)ゞ I've only attempted to connect to the server IP internally. I also gave the docker container its own IP and still receive the same error. I believe there might be an issue with Docker. But all the videos I see seem very clear.
