Hi Everyone, My server has been up for roughly a year now, with monthly updates. It performed well until I upgraded the CPUs. I experimented with various methods to bypass the initialization prompt—removed GPUs, mixed RAM types, stripped down the RAM slots, re-seeded the CPUs—but nothing got past the display to reach my BIOS. I found out that resetting the CMOS might be the only solution. Since I’m not a professional server builder, I work on it more as a personal project. Recently, I learned how to access the server’s sensors and management remotely. Before the upgrade, my setup included: motherboard model mz73lm0 Rev 2.0 (likely BIOS version 27), dual EPYC 9334s CPUs, 512GB DDR5 RAM, 8/64GB DDR5 RAM in dual 64GB slots, two RTX 3090s and one RTX 4090, and a single Nvidia L40 GPU. After the upgrade, I switched to dual EPYC 9654P with the same GPUs.

Reinstall the old CPU's and update the BIOS, although you should be able to update w/o CPU IIRC. Given that it's a server/workstation board, it should have IPMI/BMC so you should be able to reach the board that way too.

Yes, you can access the settings through the IP address even if the chipset isn't initialized. You just need to connect the server to the same network and use the IP for logging in.

You can refresh the BIOS using IPMI, but it requires a functional CPU first for the boot process. Additionally, you can connect a video output through VGA since the board includes a graphics processor.
