The account password for Hotmail is accurate, and Gmail appears to function properly.
I believe they are informing you that other email accounts won't be permitted through the web-only client. This change was introduced in 2018, possibly to prevent password updates beforehand? Download the Outlook client for your phone or Windows and you should still have access there. If this isn't the case, it might not be what you're asking about.
