I assembled this system in 2015 and haven’t used it much until recently. I mainly play Dayz and Minecraft, and my PC’s age is becoming noticeable. I’m reaching out for advice—anyone have suggestions to boost performance in these games? I’m not looking to replace everything, just consider some tweaks. If I decide to go all over again sometime next year, I’ll share my setup here.

For top gaming performance, your i5 won’t suffice. Prioritize a better GPU like the 1660 Super or go for a 2060. Once that’s done, consider replacing your CPU—especially if it’s from the last 6 to 7 years, you’ll need a new motherboard and DDR4 RAM. A B550 board is ideal for future upgrades.

I was considering a 2060 but it seemed costly. With only $450-$500 USD, I'm in the US and my 250 GB SSD is nearly full. I might need to buy a new drive within that budget. Any suggestions?
