Hello, I purchased an MSI RTX 4080 SUPER and an Intel i7-14700K. Previously, I had it overclocked and it ran smoothly at the default 5.6GHz boost using MSI MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi. I also overclocked the RAM to DDR5 64GB (2x32) and it worked fine until games would crash and the GPU would spike to 100%. After resetting everything to default speeds, crashes stopped but I’m experiencing performance dips now. I read somewhere that setting the PCIe to Gen 4 instead of auto might help, but changing it caused my PC to fail to boot and required a BIOS reset. I also have a Gen 5 SSD and a Gen 4 SSD for extra storage, and I’m curious if they’re using all the lanes properly. The BIOS was updated today.

I purchased that PC a few years ago. Regarding Intel's voltage issues and the degradation of 13th and 14th generation CPUs, yes, those problems have been reported over time.

I purchased it quite late in 2023, possibly assembled it in 2024.

Intel 13 and 14 models are failing, even when running at standard settings.
