I explored a RetrePie add-on called "Moonlight" for streaming Steam games, but it needs a Nvidia GPU. My setup uses an AMD GPU instead of a desktop with an AMD chip. My concern is: can I stream Steam games to a Raspberry Pi when it has an AMD GPU? Also, since installing Steam directly on the Pi isn't possible due to ARM limitations, what alternatives exist?

Steam streaming at home with AMD on a Windows PC and Moonlight on the Pi should function properly. Any issues you're encountering are what you need to address.

If you are building the DIY steam link because it might be cheaper don't just buy one on eBay for 15 bucks. But if you are doing it because "Hey it's cool f**k it" then I respect that. And no it will not work with an AMD Graphics Card because Moonlight uses Nvidia Geforce Experience. And as far as I have seen their is no equivalent. Edit: Just realized you have a Raspberry

I'm planning to switch to a 1070 soon, which should address my issue.
