I enjoy PC gaming but also want to explore consoles. I’m considering the Xbox One because many friends play there. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday approaching, it seems like a great moment to purchase one. On the flip side, I already have a solid gaming PC and prefer not to spend the full 60 dollars on games (Steam deals). However, I’m excited about Assassin's Creed Unity, and I notice consoles often run better with AC and have more players than PCs. Just need some thoughts on whether to stick to PC or mix both platforms. Xbox One price: 400 USD (without Kinect)
AC: Unity isn't mainly a multiplayer title, so either platform would work (PC or Xbone). If you're keen on Xbox One's offerings, that's a good choice. Sunset Overdrive looks intriguing to me, and Desiny might become more engaging with future expansions. If you wish to play games with friends, definitely consider it (if you can afford it)
The Xbox One isn't worth it compared to a PC. A graphics card would be more useful, and the AC might struggle to keep up with 1080p at 30fps. Spending $400 on a GPU could actually be better than buying an Xbox One. If you're looking to play with friends, just grab the Xbox One.
I mentioned this earlier and now I'm confirming it. If you wait until next year, you can save a lot by getting a smaller version of Xbox 1 or even a smaller PS4. But if size isn't important or you really need something right away, then the PS4 is the better pick. It already has many major games available and is more popular than others. Plus, it offers better subscription options—free games every month with the Plus plan. If you're into something completely new, I suggest also checking out a Wii U. It supports 1080p on most of Nintendo's titles and has a big library of older games. Its collection is quite unique compared to other consoles.
If most of your friends are into xbone, joining one would be a smart move to stay included.
