Playing games on Windows 11 with minimal CPU and GPU usage
I've observed my friend struggling with Rainbow Six Siege. We suggested updating GPU drivers, enabling game mode, and similar steps, but results have been minimal. On a 3090 with a Ryzen 5900X at 1080p, he's consistently hitting around 250 FPS. My system uses a 3080 with 12 GB RAM and the same CPU—my average is about 660 FPS. After reinstalling Windows and re-downloading the game, his performance only marginally improved. We tried boosting GPU scheduling and game mode, but the lowest FPS dropped to around 300 or 400 compared to my 150. The main concern now is his GPU usage hitting 71% while CPU usage stays low at 5%. Render times are also off—GPU rendering is about 3ms versus my 1.5ms, and CPU is 5.8ms versus mine 1.6ms. It seems his hardware isn't being used efficiently with Windows 11. I've seen others face similar issues, but no definitive solutions. We're weighing a rollback to Windows 10, though we're hesitant. Any advice on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.
