It's possible to play games, though options are limited for Mac OS. I'd prefer Windows, but if you're okay with Mac OS, it should work just fine.

Sure, I have a MacBook Pro. I installed Windows using Boot Camp, and you can now enjoy all the games you like. Not too fast, though.

I bought a 2015 MacBook Pro 15 Retina for gaming and it performs well on the games I enjoy (WoW, Mobas). However, if I had the chance again, I’d prefer a Windows laptop. You might find a more powerful option for the same price.
