Its a common PC aspect ratio thats been around a long time and no no streching.
It's actually a great aspect ratio over 16:9 and most personally, I'd prefer to it normal 16:9 monitors. You will not encountered any weird stretching on most if not all (bad optimised games excluded as they're random) games. And on a 900 series card, you will have no problem.
