It's a straightforward inquiry. How do you handle gaming now compared to before? Do you still find it as enjoyable, more or less? I used to believe I'd never stop playing and would keep going endlessly, but that's no longer certain. I still play games regularly, though not with the same intensity as before. In recent years, competitive multiplayer gaming seems to have affected my experience, as most major titles have a rather negative community vibe. There are also those games that require excessive grinding, which I really dislike. I think it would be better to return to single-player experiences and only play light multiplayer games, avoiding anything too intense. Honestly, I miss the days of playing Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Rayman, Tekken, Soul Calibur, and other classic titles—pure fun without distractions. What about your perspective? Has your relationship with gaming stayed consistent or changed over time?

Initially it was just for fun and testing games. Then it shifted to MP only, which made me frustrated. Later I got back to MP without the frustration, and there was some enjoyable singleplayer time. Now it's mostly just a small amount of MP, some modding, and other activities.

Similar to other forms of media, games evolve alongside society. They need to align with contemporary trends to remain relevant. If they didn’t adapt, they’d fade from artistic influence. Whether their transformation was positive remains unclear, but change has occurred. Personally, my perspective on gaming has stayed consistent over the past decade. I simply lack the time now. When opportunities arise, I tend to enjoy single-player experiences.

I began to appreciate gaming again when I stopped focusing on my mistakes and started inviting others to join me online and elsewhere. I’m passionate about gaming and enjoy it regardless of skill level. I’m also discovering how to use my Logitech mouse more effectively as intended. I have three buttons set up but not the top two left ones, which aren’t ideal for pressing, so they’d be better assigned to less critical functions right now. Even though I don’t need them in Borderlands, I think it’s worth giving them a purpose to help me get used to using them. Looking back, I used to play on Sega, C64, Nintendo and GameCube, and I loved gaming on those platforms. For MPer in person, I can’t do it because I tend to damage things and get really frustrated. This is something I need to improve or simply avoid so I can relax while gaming.

At first, playing games felt fresh and thrilling. Today, I don’t spend much time on them. When I do, it has to be engaging enough to capture my interest.

I've noticed I'm playing less lately. It seems like only a handful of games now catch my attention.

The level of exaggerated marketing, buzz creation, poor quality checks, and DLC chaos has reduced its enjoyment compared to the late 90s.

I use to play less often, but now I enjoy multiplayer titles like Arma and Battlefield instead of solo games. Working with others and the competitive side bring more excitement most times. Spending time outside has also improved a lot. Why aim at virtual targets when you can hit them in real life?

Back then I could freely enjoy playing games whenever I wanted. Now life has changed—I’m married with a baby who’s seven months old and work full-time. I have to decide what to do with my limited free time. Still like gaming, but only a few hours a week.
