Playing games in the freezer.
Hello everyone, I recently purchased a new case (Lian Li O11DXL-X O11 Dynamic XL) since my previous one was too large (the Obsidian Series 1000D Super-Tower). I also updated my cooling setup—switched to the Thermaltake Riing Trio 12 RGB (14 fans total) and Corsair iCUE LINK QX120 RGB (10 fans total). After making these changes, I encountered a few issues. The first was my PC freezing and restarting without any error or blue screen. The second was freezing with the mouse still working but no response; shutting down or restarting left me stuck in a "shut off" or "Restart" menu for hours. The third issue was total PC freeze. All three problems seem linked: the RGB on the RAM freezes first, or the fan RGB shifts to default colors. These occurrences mostly happen during gaming sessions lasting an hour or two. I tried basic fixes like checking drivers and removing some RAM sticks—this resolved one freezing case while keeping the mouse functional. I also tested all four RAM modules, alternating them in slots, but only one was faulty. I noticed the fans use a lot of power, though I couldn’t find exact wattage specs. Sorry for the lengthy update; thank you for your time and support.
Note: I dropped the PSU during the swap, and the radiator hose was pressing on a RAM stick—maybe that’s the culprit or something else entirely.
