Playing at low FPS in CS:GO using an R5 3600 and RX6700 at 1440p low settings
I've been experimenting with bot matches to understand the settings and performance, but I'm finding my scores in CS2 consistently low. I rarely hit 144Hz, more often around 120, and frequently drop to 60-70, sometimes even below 50. Others who play the game report higher numbers, so I'm curious about what might be affecting my results. My current settings are: fullscreen, 1440p, 144Hz player, contrast on VSync off, 2xms, AA shadows low, shader low particle low, AO off, HDR on, FSR off, based on my PC specs listed in my profile. I have an R5 3600 at 4.2GHz and an RX6700, drivers are up to date.

They're relying on a CPU with significantly better single-thread speed (link), which could contribute to the issue, but I'm unsure where the main bottlenecks lie in CS2.
They’re definitely opting for the top-tier CPU available right now. I’d love to see a benchmark specifically for the game, but what I’ve seen so far is just a comparison between the 5800x3d and the 7700x. It seems like the optimization isn’t quite there yet, but we’ll find out.
Sure, I'd also like to see that. With some GPU options available, I hope the CPU will keep up, just as it did with Starfield.
I don’t understand what happened, but I restarted CS2 again and it’s now running at about 200 fps. WHY?? I didn’t make any changes. I just looked for settings that weren’t set to performance, but they were. Whatever the reason, it works now for me.
Solved by waiting for valve update. I'm struggling with performance here too. i7-7700k + 2070 SUPER, playing at 1080p. Got 300 FPS easily in CS:GO; struggling to get 130 FPS in CS2
