Hey everyone, I'm facing a problem that needs fixing. I tried to create a folder on my mom's computer that would link directly to her video library. The goal was for her to watch my movies and shows through her TV while she thought they were just on her desktop. I told her my PC needed to be on in my room for it to function, but then she could access everything. At first it worked, but Windows kept asking for network credentials—something I hadn't encountered before. I checked Homegroup, but the computer still wouldn't share the library even though I told it to. I'd really like a solution that works without all the extra steps. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Connect to the network, enable advanced sharing options, and disable password protection for shared files.
