I’m really confused about what’s going on with my computer. After a year and a half of good performance, it keeps restarting unexpectedly. I’ve reinstalled Windows, swapped out the SSD, and updated the BIOS, but nothing seems to fix the issue. With a tight budget, I don’t want to pay someone to troubleshoot and just tell me it’ll work for this one problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated—I’m trying to focus on playing Elden Ring.

Have you attempted to reset the CMOS? Share your system details (brand, model) and any prior blue screen events. Let me know what settings were active before the looping started.

I attempted to reset CMOS. I’m currently using a 3600x with a 5700 xt on an x570. There was no blue screen before the loop began; it started normally and then I encountered the “your pc did not start correctly” message. I swapped in a brand-new Windows installation, but I don’t know what the previous settings were. The boot cycle began in February, but I had to return to school, so it’s been a while.

The flashback didn't help much; someone suggested it could be a power supply problem. That might lead to a boot loop. If I wait a few days without trying to start it, it works fine then it keeps restarting after a short delay and resets whenever the Mobo screen appears.

It probably isn’t. What type of power supply are you connecting? This seems to point toward a cooling problem, such as the CPU cooler not making contact with the CPU.

Power supply is an EVGA 600 BR and I don’t believe it’s causing overheating. The highest temperatures I experience on my PC are about 63°C during operation, but when I check the BIOS now it reads around 30°C. Also, whenever I open the BIOS before a reboot it doesn’t restart from there.
