A few years back I assembled a PC that was working perfectly. But after nearly a year, I started experiencing occasional random stutters where the system would freeze briefly. Sometimes it works fine, other times gaming becomes impossible. The performance isn’t at its peak—CPU stays around 40-60°C and GPU around the same temperature. There’s no visible stress on the hardware, even during idle. I’ve tried many fixes: reinstalling Windows multiple times, swapping the graphics card, changing cables, updating drivers, deleting software, adjusting M.2 slots, overclocking components, underclocking parts, boosting GPU cache, checking for bad blocks, updating BIOS, and more. The only clue I found is that stutters often coincide with frame rate spikes during gameplay. My specs include an I9 10900k, RTX 4080, and various motherboard and power components. It seems like a hardware problem, but why does it come and go? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
