Means everything works similarly to WoW. Freeplay is limited, not as open as single-player. You can progress through levels, but at a reduced pace. There are only a few dungeons or instances available. You can't influence the economy or accumulate large amounts of gold (China farmers would be upset if you could). The expansions aren’t included. I think you could level a character from 1 to 60. SWTOR had a huge number of quests.

It's at least worthwhile for regulars, even if it isn't essential. I'm not sure I'll cover the cost.

A lot of attention was given to the free-to-play aspect. If U.S. servers become active again, I might try playing once more. From what I've heard, the game remains popular in Europe. I didn't really do raid play in SWTOR and mostly did PvP, but at least I care about the lore, unlike in WoW. I was on a Fatman server that merged into something else—I think it was a sign of the 5. Anyone on that server wants to know if things are back on track?

I enjoy playing on the Bastion, which tends to be quite busy. I rarely check the servers, but they’re usually running at a high or heavy capacity when I’m in. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if another server opens up soon.

I tried to enjoy it, but it’s really tough. They keep pushing things my way to remind me I haven’t paid for anything. I understand... I get it. Running an MMO means expenses... but if you want the story to be free-to-play, at least let me progress without being nagged about subscriptions. I don’t want to receive rewards that aren’t usable and to have my XP slowed so I’m stuck grinding mobs just to see what my account can display. If a game is decent enough, I’ll spend money with confidence and no regrets. If you keep showing ads and calling me a loser because I can’t use an item I got for a quest unless I hand over cash... I’ll stop playing. That’s exactly what happened to me. I played a Jedi Guardian up to around level 20 and quit. A year later I switched to a Bounty Hunter at about level 25 and stopped again. The combat also became bothersome, but that’s another story. I’m one of the biggest KotOR fans you’ll encounter... and even TOR calling it “spiritual KotOR 3” didn’t keep me coming back. I’d rather play Guild Wars 2.

It remains a monotonous and dull experience.

Took four hours to get raid-ready gear and reached level 60 from 55. PvP can be boring, but the lore keeps it interesting for me. After a month as a sub, I enjoyed playing against others and that was what kept me coming back.
