There are options for offline multiplayer using your setup. You can use a game server or client software to connect your two gaming PCs via the router, enabling co-op play without an internet connection. Let me know if you need recommendations!

It's unclear if it can be done without the internet, though the games on Gameranger and Tunngle are accessible.

It looks absurd that I have to contact a server to start LAN. We’re right next to each other, and all our computers are connected through the same router—it feels strange. I recall using LAN in the 90s for CS beta games back then; I still had my 4-digit win ID!

Do you have any preferred genres? Here are some that come to mind right away, though there are many more: Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Killingfloor, Killingfloor 2, Sacred 2, Resident Evil 5. You should be able to host a dedicated server locally, let me look through my library for other titles.

Yes, you can try adjusting settings or using alternative methods to achieve the desired effect. Check official guides or community forums for specific steps.

Here are some alternative ways to phrase that:

- Many LEGO titles run smoothly on a single PC using two controllers.
- For those who prefer console play, the setup should work fine.
- Hosting options appear adequate for this experience.
- A useful link was found for hosting setups.
- The method doesn’t involve controller use, which might be a point of confusion.

The only LAN game I’ve ever played is Garry's Mod. It was somewhat enjoyable, though downloading the online mods makes it dull.
