Hello mates, I've opened a new topic, because I could not find something recent, if there is one please merge, or share the thread. I recently upgraded my pc to an i9-14900KF CPU with 64 gigs of RAM DDR5 6000mhz, EVGA 3080 FTW GPU. I also bought a new 1440p monitor. I've tried playing GTA V but it stutters like crazy. I didn't have any issues on my older 9900K cpu, with the same GPU. I've tried many things: -fixing the FPS to 60/144 - lowering the resolution - reducing settings -enabling/disabling Gsync and pretty much everything the internet suggested, but still the game runs poorly, when I move the mouse it stutters when the cars drive they don't visualyse smoothly, they also lag/stutter, FPS seems stable 59-60. If anyone encountered such issue and managed to fix it please assist Same thing with RDR2, stutters like hell. For the laggy mouse movement I tried different settings (input modes) it's pretty much the same. I will now reinstall Windows and all drivers to check if this ifxes the issue. Cheers and thanks in advance!

Did you just upgrade your Windows? What’s the temperature reading on the 14900K? You’ll want a solid airflow case and a premium cooler to keep things running smoothly.

You should have refreshed your drivers. If not, attempt an update. If you installed the new version promptly after upgrading, consider reverting to the previous driver. Another option is to disable Vsync completely. If it was previously enabled, switch it back on and then close the game, launch it again, and turn it off once more. Also, let me know what method you used to cap your FPS.

You just set up Windows from scratch and installed all the drivers. Now the game runs much smoother, especially during fast movements like driving or rotating the mouse. Instead of the usual stuttering lines, you now see clean horizontal and vertical lines across the screen. I’m open to any tips or adjustments. Regarding your questions: previously, similar issues appeared in Red Dead Redemption 2 before a Windows reinstall, but I haven’t tried it yet—I’ll have to download it again. Cyberpunk performs excellently even at full settings, with no lag or stutter. The CPU temperatures stay well below 65°C (I bought an EKWB 360mm AIO). The case has multiple fans—two 140mm and one 120mm front, plus a 120mm back fan. It seems the cooling isn’t a problem. The frame rate is capped by the game and 3D settings at 60 FPS; raising it to 100–144 might help. VSync is off, which could improve performance.
