I was really excited after installing Windows 10. But once I tried to open games, I noticed only 2-3 frames per second instead of the usual 70 fps. The graphics settings weren’t visible, and even searching for options like Nvidia or Intel didn’t work. I’m struggling to find a solution and can’t play my favorite games without it.
this doesn't appear to fit your answer. Let's try again.
Could you clarify what you mean by "doesn't seem right"? Are you referring to a specific issue with downloading drivers for your GPU? Providing more details would help me assist you better.
You made an upgrade instead of a clean install? Didn't you? Or were you playing on Win 8 then switching cards after moving to Win 10? I faced the same issue—initially on Win 8 with a GTX760, upgraded to a Titan X (Maxwell) and all games dropped from over 60 FPS to below 10 FPS (like GTA5). This coincided with the release of Witcher 3 and Fallout 4. I tested my Titan with a friend’s setup and it worked perfectly. After removing drivers and doing clean NVIDIA installs, nothing helped. I had to reinstall Win 8. When I tried my games again, everything ran smoothly. I took the chance and upgraded (not cleanly) back to Win 10—it fixed it. My problem seemed linked to using a different card in Win 8, upgrading, then switching to another one. I searched for a simpler fix for about a month but couldn’t find anything. I saw a few posts (just a few) with the same issue; the solution was a full Windows reinstall.
