When CSGO runs in full-screen with a custom resolution, performance stays smooth and FPS exceeds 700 on third-party deathmatch servers and platforms like Faceit. However, opening OBS on another monitor reduces FPS to 280–300 and introduces minor stutters, while in-game FPS can fall to 180. On the "aim_botz" map, launching OBS causes a sudden drop from 800–900 to 280–300 FPS and VAR values between 2 and 4. This issue only occurs with custom resolutions (1920x1440); on native 1920x1080 it doesn’t affect performance. Similar problems appear when playing other apps like Discord or webpages that open on another screen, though not always. Occasionally, opening something else causes drops, possibly due to Discord or Chrome settings. The issue disappears when running CSGO in full-screen without a monitor, but input lag and choppiness remain. I’m experiencing similar drops in Minecraft—FPS stays under 280 unless OptiFine is used, even with G-Sync and V-Sync disabled. Hardware specs: R9 7950X, RTX 3080 Ti, 32GB DDR5, NVMe SSD. Main monitor: ASUS TUF VG279, 280Hz, G-Sync enabled. I’ve checked G-Sync settings, driver updates, and different launch configurations, but the problem persists.
