Play 7 using the GFX driver or run it on Win 10 with a basic display adapter.
In short, I upgraded my old Acer Aspire One with an Atom N2600, added an SSD and 4GB RAM using a modified BIOS. I installed Windows 10 but faced problems with the graphics driver, which causes a blue screen and prevents running OpenGL-based apps. An alternative driver works but doesn’t support modern 3D software. I remember playing Minecraft on Windows 7, so I’m wondering if switching back would fix the driver issues or lead to new compatibility problems. Would it be better to abandon Windows entirely and try Linux instead? A big concern is I can’t adjust the display brightness without the video driver, which limits battery life even though the battery is still healthy. Your advice would be appreciated.
