I've reached the limit of my 4-year-old HP Pavilion.
Switching to a Mini-PC is the way forward.
I'm opting for a Mini-PC AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS with a barebone setup, featuring an AMD Radeon 780M, USB3.2 (4x), USB4 (2x), HDMI 2.1 (2x), PCIe4.0, Wi-Fi 6E/BT5.3, and RJ45 (2.5G).
I plan to install a WD Black 1TB SN850X M.2 with 32GB (two 16GB modules) Crucial DDR5 5600MHz.
Additionally, I intend to assemble an eGPU using a Sapphire Pulse RX 7600 8GB DDR6 module.

I've experienced three similar devices, all functioning well with friends and family. For everyday tasks, they perform excellently—quiet, efficient, and reliable. Not suitable for high-end gaming due to the built-in video. eGPUs are uncertain on this one, so others can share their thoughts. I recommend a 2TB SSD instead of 1TB.
Thanks for the feedback, ColGeek. I've checked many reviews and found that the integrated graphics Radeon 780M performs well at 1080P, which is more than sufficient for my needs.
MS Flight Sim is a large program in terms of space, particularly when all available content is installed. Have you thought about creating a smaller ITX system instead? It would better fit the needs you mentioned.
Actually, the USB 4 does support 40GB throughput, but I'll be connecting the eGPU through a M.2 ribbon cable on this setup.
The Mini has a second Gen4 M.2 slot.
Regarding assembling a full desktop, I had that in mind and estimated around $1400 in the US. However, with what I'm discussing now, it could be about $1000.
