Planned to improve children's computers but used the incorrect drive.
He has an MSI laptop with an NVMe 1TB SSD about 120GB as the main drive and a Samsung 250GB SSD set to G. I was changing the NVMe to a larger 1TB Samsung 980, using data migration software connected via adapter to a USB port. After plugging in, it showed up as Samsung, but it turned out to be the 250GB drive initially. The target drive wasn’t available until the adapter was connected. After shutting it down and rebooting, it started with the G drive instead of NVMe, now the C drive is the main one. She didn’t back up anything yet—I’m trying to recover old photos and files for games or mods. If you can help, please.
