Hi everyone, is there a budget-friendly method to schedule site blocking across your network? For instance, restricting access to Facebook or YouTube during certain hours. I understand OpenDNS scheduling isn't an option, but are there alternative solutions without purchasing a router with built-in parental controls? Thanks, Tia and Duck.

You might consider using a DNS server like rasberi pi and filters such as pihole. It’s unclear if they offer time-based filters, so you’ll need to verify or implement it yourself. Pi-hole is open source, which means adding custom features could be a great idea if you’re comfortable coding.

Check if your consumer router supports parental controls or filters. Review its admin panel for available options.

I used pi-hole for this. You can form a group list and block sites at certain times. Enable the group using cron - Help / Community Help - Pi-hole Userspace With a pi-hole installation, you can simply create a cron job to activate or deactivate websites and groups.
