I was engaged in a video game when my PC suddenly stopped working. After several failures, I noticed the BSOD displayed "WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR." Following more crashes, I ended up spending $130 at a computer store to have it checked. The technician said some video graphics drivers were reset and everything seemed fine. I brought the PC home, tried playing games, and it crashed again—this time more severely. After restarting, it returned to my BIOS screen, where the M.2 device wasn’t recognized. I returned it to the shop, and it booted normally! I was shocked by this situation.
Later, when I brought it back, it crashed once more, failing to show the NVME M.2 drive. I then moved the M.2 card to a different slot on my motherboard, which worked for a while before it also crashed—no BSOD, just a black screen. After rebooting, Windows loaded correctly up to where I’m writing this.
I’ve researched many claims suggesting a hardware issue, especially with the M.2 or BIOS. I considered replacing the CMOS, thinking it might help, but I’m cautious since the CMOS is linked to the BIOS, not the storage device itself. I also wondered if the M.2 was faulty, but it seemed to function properly after a clean partition test. The Event Viewer reported an error creating a dump file (Event ID: 161), and my disk properties tool confirmed everything was healthy. I’ve also tried to recover data using a disk check, but the logs kept failing with the same message.
I’m still trying to figure out whether the problem lies with the M.2 or the motherboard. My system details are as follows:

Include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. Also, mention the current BIOS version for your motherboard.
The only changes since the repair shop and your home are your power supply or wall outlet. Do you notice a slight tingling when touching the metal part of your case while standing on a tiled floor? If yes, there may be a grounding problem that affects your setup.
Hm, It doesn't seem to only happen when it has been moved. It has crashed and shown no M.2 numerous times while untouched. No tingling feeling either. After swapping it to the other M.2 Slot, its only crashed once with just a black screen after maybe 35 mins of gaming. Also, thank you! although i have always been lingering about the forums for years! haha
I started playing a game hoping to uncover more information about the situation, but after swapping the M.2 slots after hitting a black screen and restarting, it didn’t bring me back to the BIOS with a missing boot drive.
EDIT: I attempted to update the video cards since the manufacturer rolled back the driver, but when using GeForce Experience, I experienced a BSOD yet managed to boot Windows.
