Placed my recent order for the new Mobo and CPU.
I just completed the purchase. Both the ASRock B550 Pro4 and the Ryzen 5 3600 were available, so I went ahead and bought them. I'm genuinely pleased because these are the first PC parts I've ever acquired. I've already set up a topic on this forum about my planned build (https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/vQHMWb). The main concern is that I don't have another 100€ for RAM, which makes me a bit anxious. Of course, I'd like to verify if the motherboard and CPU function correctly once they arrive, but I can't do it right now. Any suggestions? Should I be able to boot into BIOS and check the status of the motherboard and CPU? Actually, according to the PCPartPicker link, the prices are 134,50€ and 160€—I got mine for 129,-€ and 159€ (about 6,50€ saved, impressive).
It seems unclear whether the PC uses DDR3 or DDR4. That might not be ideal if you're trying to make a change
You can always review the specifications to find out the CPU generation, which indicates whether it uses DDR3 or DDR4. Additionally, you might request the IT department to provide a temporary set for testing purposes, as the return period begins immediately rather than when your actual RAM arrives.
