I have a direct Ethernet link from my PC to the router. My ping stays around 30ms, but when others use WiFi—like for YouTube or FaceTime—I see pings over 400ms. This is really annoying since I can’t play games now. What might be causing this issue?

What internet speed do you have, and which modem or router model are you using? I'm checking this because if other users with video streaming are consuming bandwidth, your connection might be overwhelmed or your device may not support the load.

In the Ethernet Status section, your connection speed is listed as 100 Mbps. The device you're using is an AT&T NVG589 modem, and it's connected via a Vonage router.

It refers to the speed settings you use with ATT, often noticeable during full uploads such as syncing to iCloud.

The Vonage gear likely serves as your phone or VoIP system, with the AT&T device managing most functions—this setup is often criticized for poor quality. Consider investing in a reliable wireless router and switching the AT&T device to bridge mode.
