Hi everyone, I own three identical i7 10700 CPUs and am unsure which one to keep. Is there a way to compare them? Have they already posted a video about this? How can I identify the weakest core or cores? If I skip this step, I’ll be disappointed later. Should I test each CPU on the same board? Are there any apps that help with this? Thanks!

Usually people compare which processor runs faster, but you can't speed up a non-K Intel CPU.

10700's are secured, which isn't a big deal. The chip with the most compact silicon probably handles stock settings better, but that difference fades when power limits are ignored. If you're very precise, stick with the one that runs the fastest. Otherwise, small variations shouldn't justify the effort.

You can partition the memory controllers. Identify which one handles OCS memory best. It might be worth partitioning the cache—though I’m not certain if unlocking it helps. The CPU with the highest cache and memory speeds will be the winner.

You'll require a substantial component tester, such as an Agilent Advantest, Credence Duo, Schlumberger 9000 or Teradyne Catalyst. These devices are expensive, often costing millions. You'll also need a team of software and hardware engineers, probably from Intel, to develop a diagnostic and analysis suite for stress-testing the 10700 series. This process evaluates each CPU's performance by testing memory, compute, lanes, voltage stability, and more at different voltages and temperatures, helping identify failures and overall chip quality.

Cinebench works well for this task. Keep in mind to execute it several times with each version to reduce the error range.

Performance impact probably won't be significant because results should fall within acceptable limits.
You can check actual numbers to determine if a meaningful change exists.
Perform burn tests to identify the most stable operation.
With the right motherboard, you can lower voltage and test endurance.
This is similar to how overclocking is evaluated.
The best performance often comes when voltage is minimized.
