Hey, I've been looking into performance adjustments for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I noticed some advice suggesting using PhysX on the CPU rather than the GPU to boost frame rates. I tried that and saw a slight improvement, but I still favor running it on the GPU for other games. Can you find a way to limit PhysX usage specifically to Witcher 3? Also, any additional tips for getting better performance in this title would be great.

Wouldn't it be simpler to adjust the tessellation and AA options directly in the control panel?

Clarify your question about the AA setting. Do you need guidance on whether to enable it in override mode?

Start by accessing the Witcher 3 Install folder on your PC. Move to The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base → rendering.ini and look for “HairWorksAALevel.” Adjust it to 2 or 4 for a noticeable improvement. For Nvidia graphics, you can also explore changing the tessellation settings to enhance performance without sacrificing quality.

That's noteworthy. I'm not relying on Hairworks these days.

You might consider tweaking a few aspects for smoother performance.

Sure, I can adjust the settings for you. What would you like to change?

Turn off Nvidia Hairworks completely. It doesn’t add any value and actually reduces performance, giving only 20-30 frames instead of the 60+ I need in Witcher 3. The specs are misleading. I still face issues with crowded areas like Novigrad.

I follow the default configurations. Did you adjust any settings?
