Physics score is low
Physics score is low
I also face a comparable issue with my 4670k—it appears to be scoring lower than others. Are you using Windows 8?
here are some examples of win 8 physics scores with 4670k, also your score is a bit lower than mine. my stock model has around 6600 physics, on stock i it's about 8000 physics, but its ocd is at 4.7 ghz. i checked various forums and found that another issue causing low cpu score is improperly seated cpu cooler. you can find more info here: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7512620 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7539863 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/6962041 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7282313
I have the identical issue exactly! I'm using two GTX 780 graphics cards, which are fine, and I still have a very low score on the physics test. The same problem occurs with games as jaeyong92 mentioned! I haven't found any solution yet. I only have the same processor. Can anyone assist me? Did you find a solution jaeyong92? I really need help and my English is not great, I'm French! Thank you very much for your support!

I have the exact same issue too! I'm using two GTX 780 graphics cards, which are fine, and I have a very low score on the physics test, just like jaeyong92 mentioned! I still can't find a solution for this problem. I have the same processor, but no one has helped me yet! Did anyone else find a way? I really need someone to assist me with this! Thanks a lot, even though my English is not perfect—I'm French! Thank you very much for your help!
Hi,
I resolved this problem with Running CCleaner, likely due to a Registery Dll file issue. I recommend uninstalling 3Dmark13 first, then installing and running CCleaner, followed by restarting the PC. After that, reinstall 3Dmark13 which should fix the Low Physics score. Alternatively, you could perform a fresh install of Windows 7 or 8 to resolve the issue.
You'll need an i7 quad with hyperthreading for eight threads to perform well. Alternatively, a 6 core 1366 Xeon with twelve threads could be a good choice. The 1366 chips perform exceptionally due to their triple channel DDR3 support. For example, my i7 930 at 4.355ghz achieves a score of 10,859 in physics. Upgrading to a Xeon X5675 and overclocking might push the score closer to 20,000 in physics.
Hi Guys !!
I'm facing the same issue but with an intel i7 4790k.
The performance was good with the factory cooler now, and using corsair h90 things are going down quickly!
In my first test I got 9917, now it's around 8605.

I experienced the same issue with a previous i5-2500K (overclocked to 4.0GHz). My 3DMark Firestrike physics score was poor, roughly half that of similar systems. After some troubleshooting, I found my CPU was overheating, running hot at idle and high loads. Cleaning the heat-sink and fan (Intel stock) removed the dust buildup. The problem was resolved, and my score returned to normal. It seems the CPU was throttled because of overheating. Good luck!
