Ugh! I missed out on a solid deal—$100 for a 16GB unit. It’s usually not wise to treat the OS drive as a scratch disk, and I’m repurposing my 60GB SSD from my old machine to give it away, so there’s no extra cost involved. He’ll receive either a 250GB or 500GB SSD for his setup.
It seems a 1TB HDD typically costs around $60 USD. Prices can vary slightly.
They function, yet they move significantly slower. His setup includes a 500gb SSD, a 2tb HDD, and a 2tb WD external drive. He isn’t a gamer at all, and even he wouldn’t want to switch back to an HDD-based system. *shudder*
