I have a 5600X/3060 custom setup that can handle Phas at 1080p high settings. Afterburner reaches its limit at 240 FPS all the time. When recording with OBS at 120 FPS, the videos become choppy in certain areas even though the actual performance is perfect. Lowering OBS to 60 FPS seems to improve the smoothness. Other games run fine at 120 FPS, so it might be related to encoding issues from the game itself.
It seems like the project might lack sufficient resources for high-quality recording at 120 FPS. You could consider switching to 60 FPS instead.
