Additionally, pfSense by default doesn't enable traffic flow between VLANs or permit routing across distinct private subnets. You'd need to set it up manually and expect someone familiar with the limitations to handle that. I believe this goes against the purpose of using separate VLANs and subnets for isolation. I've observed cases where users tried to isolate IoT devices from the LAN while still needing access to services like Plex. In those scenarios, placing the device on both VLANs or physically connecting it seems more practical than routing through a router. Let the firewall on the Plex handle blocking specific ports instead.
