I shared this on the pfSense forum but got no responses. My setup uses a 2006 Mac Pro with Virtual Box running. It has two internal NIC cards, both bridged via Virtual Box. One adapter connects to WAN and the other to LAN. I plugged in a PC on the LAN, and when I access the web UI on the Mac Pro it appears connected and assigned an IP. Pinging Google works fine, but when I try to visit a site on my PC it shows no internet connection. The router settings say it’s linked to the pfSense router. What should I do? Need help!

You can check both methods—by URL or by IP address. If the IP works but the domain doesn’t, it might indicate an issue with DNS.

I don't have access to your firewall rules directly. Could you provide more details or share the relevant information so I can assist you better?

Confirming your request: Did you attempt to connect from the PC? Your message suggests you likely pinged through the router, which isn't helpful for verifying the connection. Could you share the operating system in use and your current internet configuration details? Also, let me know if you're using DHCP or have specific gateway/DNS settings.

You asked about security settings that control network traffic.
