Hey everyone, I need to upgrade from my old Asus RT-AC68U. No matter how I adjust the settings, I still face huge lag in games like COD and it overheats a lot. I really want to move to an ASUS ROG Rapture GT but it’s too pricey at around £300. Still within my budget, but I’m curious how it compares. I want to future-proof my Wi-Fi and cut down on latency issues in games.
Current setup: Virgin Media 350Mbps fiber, superhub only mode on the modem connected to my ASUS router. Devices:
- Gaming PC (main and priority use)
- Sonology NAS (plays Plex, family backup)
- 2 Amazon Fire Sticks (one 4K, one standard)
- 3 mobile phones (up to 8 at once)
- 2 Android tablets
I’m looking for something under £200 that can improve signal and reduce lag. Thanks!
