Persistent laggy boot / difficulty resuming after full startup and login
I just finished assembling my new PC and encountered a problem when trying to boot or wake from sleep. It becomes very slow and often fails completely, then restarts after a few minutes of sitting in the ROG loading screen. After rebooting, it still feels sluggish even when fully logged into Windows. Usually fixing it requires another manual restart, but now it seems to linger slightly afterward. I have minimal software installed—mainly Cyberpunk 2077—to push limits. My components include an Asus ROG Strix z690-E Gaming WiFi CPU, an Intel i9 12900K, a G.Skill Trident z5 with 32GB RGB (2x16GB), and a Corsair RM1000e PSU. I use Samsung 990 Pro storage and 2TB 990 Pro for games. My case is Asus Rog Ryujin III 360 ARGB, paired with a Lian Li 011 Dynamic EVO case fan set, and the controller is Uni Hub SLV2. The OS runs Windows 11 Home 64-bit version 10.0.22631, BIOS from American Megatrends (version 2802, updated 9/27/2023). Even after typing everything out, the lag persists post-restart, sometimes freezing for a few seconds. I’m unsure if it’s software or hardware related and would appreciate any guidance.
