Hello everyone, I've been facing this odd RAM issue whenever I insert RAM in slots one and three. The PC won't boot and I get a RAM error. I've tried different CPUs and GPUs, various types of RAM, even cleaned the slots with isopropyl alcohol, but the problem persists. It seems like the motherboard might be damaged. It boots normally when the XMP profile isn't enabled, defaulting to 2666 MHz. However, when I enable XMP or DOCP, it doesn't activate (only for slots one and three). I've used all four slots previously without issues, but recently it started happening. I also tested a single RAM stick in every slot to check the problem, which only occurred on slots one and three. The video you shared shows what's happening during downclocking with a Ryzen 5 3600X and other components.

The memory controller resides on the CPU. If you've tested various CPU models and still face the problem, it might be related to the RAM. Are you connecting only two sticks?

I'm using four sticks; I've even tested different ones from my brother's PC. If the slot was faulty, it wouldn't have booted. Today I set it to 3200MHz and it worked, whereas yesterday it only went up to 3000MHz.

It's possible the memory controller or RAM experienced a failure.

You purchased the RAM module, including the memory controller for the CPU.
