I've finished the MB for my second build (CPU, cooler, GPU, M.2 storage, and RAM connected). It's time to verify everything before packaging. After connecting everything to the PSU and turning it on with a screwdriver, I noticed the DRAM debug light appeared. I reinserted the RAM, but the problem continued. I looked up online and found that updating the BIOS might be necessary for the 5800x. I downloaded the latest version from MSI, copied it to an empty FAT32 USB, renamed it to BIOS.ROM, connected it to the correct port, flipped the power switch, and pressed the flash button. The BIOS LED blinked for about 5-6 minutes while the system booted—during that time the motherboard powered on with fans and lights. Now the DRAM light is off, but the CPU debug light remains active. My monitor still doesn’t show anything, even though it’s connected to my GPU. I removed my CMOS for a few minutes (after turning off power and unplugging the PSU), reinserted it, and tried again—still no results. I’m 99% confident the CPU is correctly seated. Possible issues could be firmware incompatibility or a hardware fault. Also, I attempted a BIOS flash again, but this time the LED stayed steady and the system shut down after a few minutes. I’m concerned this might have been risky.

Do you have the RAM correctly installed in the proper slots? Test using only one RAM stick in the slot marked on the manual, and make sure you perform a complete CMOS reset after flashing. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, check the chip for any signs of damage.
