Is it feasible to perform a fresh Windows 10 setup using a free license key on another storage device? (Considering a high-speed M.2 SSD for just the operating system.) Edit: I’m only interested in clearing the OS drivers.

You might not succeed, but many systems let you restart or fully wipe Windows from the operating system. That could be a solution.

When setting up Windows 10, you typically choose a clean install from the menu (F8 after the BIOS screen). Formatting your OS disc is another option if you prefer. You can also decide which drive to use for installation, such as an M.2 SSD, and set up dual boot until you replace the existing OS.

It's not fully understood how this will function at the moment. They mentioned you can perform clean installations if desired. They'll likely provide an option to create installation media, allowing you to set it up at your convenience.
