Performing a crash test on the Aorus X570 Elite
Hello everyone, thank you for your support. After about a year, my computer started having issues. My setup includes: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, Aorus X570 Elite RAM (HyperX 32GB, 2x16GB at 3000MHz CL16), Aorus RTX 2070 GPU, BeQuiet 650W PSU, Gigabyte 500GB M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD, Arctic Freezer Liquid cooling with 3 fans and no RGB. The problem is that the machine crashes unexpectedly during use, then restarts completely wiping out BIOS settings and preventing NVME device detection. Sometimes it blocks saving UEFI changes, requiring multiple reboots to recover. Occasionally it happens without warning. I've tried several fixes: swapping batteries twice, updating BIOS, reinstalling Windows on two drives, turning off XMP, disabling CPB, CSM, and using Power Loading. I also replaced the memory modules in Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB, DDR4 3200MHz CL16), but that didn't resolve it. RAM tests showed no errors and stress tests passed. Event logs looked clean, temperatures were normal above 4G decoding. I'm running out of options except possibly replacing the motherboard, CPU, or PSU. Any suggestions from others would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again, Mike.
Update brief. Cooling removed, processor repositioned; recent operation has proceeded smoothly for the past few days. Future results remain to be seen. Memory consistently lacks the XMP profile.
