He built a brand new gaming PC for his friend, but the Wi-Fi connection remains very slow. It seems normal since he’s using a Wi-Fi card with two antennas, yet it’s not improving the speed. The old office PC in the same spot had much faster speeds. We changed the DNS settings, but the issue persists—still around 11 Mbps compared to 40 Mbps on the previous machine. Any suggestions?

Congrats, you or your friend spent 10-20 dollars on a Wi-Fi card that lacks Wireless AC/AX features, meaning you're likely to experience reduced speed. It also doesn't support the 5GHz band, which is a major issue for achieving high speeds. This highlights the importance of checking the standards it supports.

He’d likely enjoy using a card with strong performance in high-speed connections, especially with stable 80-90 Mbps Wi-Fi.

A wificard such as the TP-Link AC 1200 (PCIe x1) would have worked Alright. Something like the Gigabyte GC-WBAX200 (compatible with Wi-Fi 6) would also fit.
