It's surprising to see this card in action. In reality, it underperforms what reviews claim it should. Even though many warn against buying it, your CPU has more power than it shows. You'll need a top-tier card—GTX 1070 or better—to unlock its full potential. This setup is typical for that configuration; nothing out of the ordinary. If you can't return it, consider selling it. Otherwise, keep an eye on future updates, as this model has been around for years and hasn't improved much.
No worries! After checking some benchmarks, I think an RTX 2060 or something similar would be perfect. It'll cost a bit more, but it should be roughly twice as fast as the RX 5500 and include ray tracing. It’ll handle performance well and stay relevant for a few years. The RX 5500 seems promising, but I found its results weren’t great in most tests. I’ve noticed AMD cards often have strong highs but weaker lows, making gameplay less consistent, especially with newer titles. The only time the RX 5500 xt managed smooth 60fps was in a very old game from 2012.
