My system specs include: Core i7-6700, 16 GB DDR3 Dual Channel Asus H110M-K, EVGA FTW GTX 1070, Thermaltake Smartseries 750 watt PSU. When I run CPU-heavy games, my CPU and GPU usage stays around 30-50%, while temperatures remain normal. In more demanding titles like CS GO and Valorant, FPS drop to 50-60% when the screen is busy, which is frustrating. I’m not sure if this is due to my motherboard or something else. Should I consider adding case fans to cool the board? The FPS in screenshots looks higher during practice—around 100-150, then it drops to 50-60 during matches, especially noticeable on a 165 Hz display. All settings are set to 1440p. A screenshot would be very helpful if you can.
CSGO relies more on the CPU. Boost the CPU speed for higher FPS. Just to note, you're using a non-K version, which is limiting your performance.
